The new site checked on staging for indexing settings, speed, mobile layout, broken links and tracking before it goes live.
Redirects live, robots and noindex rules removed, sitemap submitted, Search Console updated and analytics verified.
Rankings, traffic, crawl errors and redirect coverage watched closely in the weeks after launch, with fixes applied as issues appear.

We crawl the old site and record every URL, its rankings, traffic and backlinks, so nothing valuable is lost in the move.

The staging site is tested against the plan, then the launch checklist is run on the day.

Not if the migration is planned. Some short term movement in the weeks after launch is normal while Google recrawls the site, but with every URL redirected and the content carried over, rankings and traffic recover, and usually improve because the new site is faster and better structured.
Before the new site is built, ideally. Involving us at the planning stage lets us shape the structure and content of the new site rather than patching it after launch. If the site is already built, we can still audit staging and handle the redirects before it goes live.
Yes. Most migrations involve a designer or developer building the site and Searchology handling the SEO plan, URL mapping, redirects and launch checks. We brief them clearly and verify their work.
Yes. A domain change adds a few steps, including the change of address in Search Console and updating citations and backlinks where possible, and we handle those as part of the plan.
After determining what “results” means for our clients, we create an SEO forecast and clearly communicate it. Having said that, it’s impossible to approximately pinpoint a specific ranking or amount of leads you will generate in “X” amount of time after investing in SEO. However, generally speaking we can begin to see an improvement in Google visibility within the first few weeks for certain keywords.
