Questions about Google Business Profile optimisation

Is Google Business Profile optimisation the same as local SEO?

It is the biggest part of it. Local SEO also covers your website, service and suburb pages, links and citations, which all feed into Maps rankings. If you only need the profile sorted, this is the service. If you want the full campaign, see our local SEO services.

How long until I rank in the Maps pack?

Profile fixes can show results within weeks for less competitive searches. Competitive searches in a capital city usually take longer, because reviews and website authority need time to build. We will tell you honestly what to expect for your searches.

Can you help if my profile has been suspended?

Yes. We identify why it was suspended, gather the documentation Google asks for and submit the reinstatement request.

Do I need a physical address?

No. Service area businesses such as tradies can hide their address and list the suburbs they serve. We set it up correctly so you stay within Google’s guidelines.

How quickly will I see results?

After determining what “results” means for our clients, we create an SEO forecast and clearly communicate it. Having said that, it’s impossible to approximately pinpoint a specific ranking or amount of leads you will generate in “X” amount of time after investing in SEO. How long do we need to do SEO for?

With Searchology you’re never locked into a minimum term. You can stop with 30 days’ written notice and start again whenever you like. However, we recommend a minimum period of 6 months to see seriously meaningful results from your SEO campaign with us.

Who actually does my business’ SEO work?

Your campaign is led by Jeremy in Adelaide, and he is responsible for every piece of work on it. You will work and communicate with our local Australian team, not an offshore call centre.

Can we meet in person to discuss my business’ SEO?

Every SEO plan starts at $2,000+GST a month, month to month, with no lock-in contract. Where you land above that depends on your trade, your service area and how competitive the searches are, and you get a fixed monthly figure in writing before you commit. What happens to my website and Google Business Profile if I stop?

They stay yours once your invoices are paid. Your domain and Google Business Profile are set up in your name wherever the platform allows, and we hand over access cleanly, with no hostage tactics. If we host your website, you can take a full export to another host, or keep it with us on a monthly hosting plan.
